CAE x SIMCOM is seeking a highly qualified Instructor Pilot to join its team. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive ground school and simulator training programs in strict adherence to CAE x SIMCOM standards and policies. The Instructor Pilot conducts training for Initial, Recurrent, and specialty courses, focusing intently on customer progress and performance. The role requires a tailored approach to instruction, including detailed lesson planning, effective classroom and simulator setup, and diligent upkeep of current publications and training materials. Occasional travel may be necessary for this role.
The Instructor Pilot provides standardized training across classroom and simulator environments, and potentially in aircraft where specifically required. This encompasses training for various events, including Captain Upgrades, Initial and Recurrent Training, PIC/SIC Evaluations, Differences Training, and Remedial Training. A key duty is to enforce company standards by instructing and requiring adherence to set standards of service and safety. The role demands strong interpersonal, verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills to effectively teach subjects and provide constructive feedback. The Instructor Pilot must possess the ability to properly and impartially judge and evaluate pilot performance. Conducting ground and simulator training for customers at SIMCOM locations is a core function. The successful candidate is responsible for maintaining accurate records, completing necessary paperwork, and submitting required documents in a timely manner. Evaluating customer progress against established SIMCOM standards is essential. The Instructor Pilot serves as a liaison between customers and training center managers. If authorized as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) for CAE x SIMCOM, the Instructor Pilot may conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR Part 135/142. Assisting in defining customer training requirements through participation in training conferences and meetings is also expected. The Instructor Pilot is required to maintain authorized competency and qualifications, uphold a high level of professionalism, and perform other related duties as assigned.
The position involves working in a dual environment setting, including both office and simulator locations. It may require light lifting up to 30 lbs and involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
