Challenger 3500 Pilot
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services, is seeking qualified candidates for a Challenger 3500 Pilot position. Based at Allegheny County Airport (AGC) in Allegheny, PA, this role is part of a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The team conducts Part 91 and Part 135 operations, flying to domestic and international destinations.
Please note, this is not a commutable position and requires residing within driving distance of AGC airport.

Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot ensures the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Confirming crew and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing accurate flight planning, performance, and weight and balance calculations for each assignment.
- Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating as required with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Conducting comprehensive aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies following company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished according to SOPs.
- Completing detailed passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent, high-quality service experience for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and acceptably.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Ensuring all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience are current.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses
The position requires holding a current First Class Medical Certificate and an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
Experience
Qualified candidates will possess 4-6 years of aviation experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Must hold an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Challenger 3500).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements include:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Preference is given to local pilots with prior Challenger experience.
Base Salary Range
The competitive base salary range is based on the aircraft cabin size flown:
- Small/Mid/Supermid Cabin: $160,000 – $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 – $425,000
