This challenging and rewarding role is based in Allegheny, PA, at AGC airport, supporting a three-pilot account with dedicated maintenance support. The operation involves Part 91 and Part 135 flights to both domestic and international destinations.
Important Note: This position is non-commutable and requires candidates to reside within driving distance of AGC airport (West Mifflin, PA).
Key Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of each flight while delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers. Key tasks include:
- Ensuring all crewing and trip assignments adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Completing thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Leading required briefings using Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Performing comprehensive aircraft pre-flight inspections, including reviewing maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Recording aircraft discrepancies per company SOPs.
- Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen.
- Conducting detailed passenger briefings according to company policy and regulations, while providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
- Consistently providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolving service deviations proactively.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM teams to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Maintaining required regulatory and company training, as well as recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 4-6 years of aviation experience is required.
- Candidates must possess a First Class Medical Certificate.
- A FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is mandatory.
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Possession of a FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Challenger 3500) is expected.
- Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Preference will be given to local pilots with previous Challenger experience.
Base Salary Range:
- Small/Mid/Supermid Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $425,000
