Pilot in Command - Challenger 3500
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command for a Challenger 3500 aircraft. As a subsidiary of NetJets, Executive Jet Management is part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, offering unrivaled resources and operational stability. This position is based in West Mifflin, PA, at Allegheny County Airport (AGC) and supports a three-pilot account with a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 and 135 regulations for both domestic and international travel. This is not a commutable position, and candidates must reside within driving distance of AGC airport.
The Pilot in Command ensures the safe operation of flight by:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required. Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status of the aircraft. Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings and delivering the highest level of customer service.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel.
The Pilot in Command delivers an exceptional service experience by:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience.
The Pilot in Command maintains proficiency and compliance by:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns.
Requirements:
- First Class Medical Certificate.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the Challenger 3500 is highly desirable.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
- Preference is given to local pilots with Challenger experience.
Compensation:
Executive Jet Management offers a competitive base salary, dependent on cabin size:
- Small/Mid/Supermid: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium: $160,000 - $425,000
