Pilot in Command - Challenger 3500
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a Challenger 3500 aircraft. As a subsidiary of NetJets, Executive Jet Management is part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, offering unrivaled resources and operational stability. This position, based in West Mifflin, PA (near Pittsburgh), at Allegheny County Airport (AGC), involves a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 and 135 regulations for both domestic and international flights. The position requires residing within driving distance of AGC airport and is not commutable.
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks.
- Leading briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, and recording discrepancies.
- Ensuring aircraft ground servicing items are monitored and accomplished according to SOPs.
- Delivering passenger briefings and catering to special needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for effective communication during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with crew members and internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- First Class Medical Certificate
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- 4-6 years of aviation experience; prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Preference given to local pilots with Challenger experience
Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $425,000 (dependent on cabin size)
