Global 6000 Corporate Flight Attendant
Location: Teterboro, NJ (KTEB Base)
Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Full-Time Flight Attendant to join a dynamic flight operation based at KTEB. This pivotal role supports a Global 6000 aircraft, providing exceptional safety and service to discerning passengers. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and proactive team player, consistently exceeding expectations and demonstrating a willingness to assume additional responsibilities to deliver unparalleled service around the clock.
A strong culinary background and a genuine passion for food are essential requirements for this position, with advanced culinary training being highly advantageous. The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers throughout the flight experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the highest level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers during flight operations.
- Effectively direct and assist passengers in emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, to passengers as needed.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations by securing the cabin before takeoff and landing.
- Provide reassurance and support to passengers during turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
- Conduct thorough preflight briefings for passengers.
- Manage and ensure the adequate stocking of essential supplies, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment, prior to each trip.
- Facilitate shopping for specific items requested by passengers for their flight experience.
- Conduct comprehensive inspection, cleaning, and stocking of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg. Maintain the aircraft cabin in a state of readiness, cleanliness, and full stock at all times.
- Perform periodic cabin checks to monitor passenger comfort and maintain cabin cleanliness during flight.
- Accurately complete all necessary preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Operate on-board audio and video systems.
- Operate all features of the Cabin Management Systems, galley equipment, and cabin configurations, including berthing seats and converting divans into beds.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Current First Aid Training Certification (CPR, AED, Basic First Aid).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Corporate Flight Attendant is required.
- Completion of flight attendant-specific initial training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety or FACTs, or similar programs, is strongly preferred. Annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal initial flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training prior to flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed training within the past 12 months.
- Must possess strong technological proficiency.
- Requires exceptional flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated culinary skills and specific culinary training are required.
- Capability to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time when on standby.
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering all necessary health and visa requirements.
- Ability to be deployed for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
- Requires a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Experience with small children is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must meet specific physical requirements necessary to perform the duties of a Corporate Flight Attendant safely and effectively in a business aviation environment. These include:
- Seeing: Vision correctable to 20/20 or better with corrective lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, complete paperwork, and utilize electronic devices such as computers, smartphones, and iPads.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must possess clear speech and adequate hearing to communicate effectively with clients, crew members, and pilots, both in person and over the phone, including during flight.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable of walking and standing without assistance. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, up to 14 hours, with limited opportunity for sitting. Must be able to work long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel to access luggage compartments for loading supplies and luggage. Must be able to maneuver in tight confines within the aircraft cabin.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be capable of exerting force (push/pull) up to 130 pounds to operate the main cabin door. Must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity such as writing, typing, using electronic devices, and preparing, cooking, and serving food and beverages. Must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist high.
