Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Global 5000 Vision Captain to join a dedicated three-pilot team operating a Part 91 flight department based at Morristown National Airport (KMMU) in Morristown, New Jersey. Essential Responsibilities

The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Global 5000 aircraft and is expected to conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering strictly to all applicable regulations and company policies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the Global 5000 aircraft.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of the aircraft's maintenance status.
  • Performing proper pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Completing comprehensive checks of weather conditions and airport facilities along the planned route, including potential alternate airports.
  • Ensuring all flights are conducted in full compliance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Prioritizing and ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the flight crew.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork following established procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following minimum flight experience:

  • Total Time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Requirements

  • Current type rating on the Global 5000 or a comparable large cabin jet aircraft is required.
  • Must hold a valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
  • Ability and willingness to work on an on-call basis to meet operational needs.
  • Completion of annual ICAO International procedures training is required.
  • Primary residence must be within a three-hour drive of KMMU, or the candidate must be willing to relocate.

Compensation Information

Solairus Aviation collects salary range information based on prevailing market conditions from multiple industry sources. Compensation for Solairus crewmembers varies and is determined by factors including geographic operating area, individual experience level, specific aircraft type and equipment, assigned job duties, required training, and the details of the assigned flight account. Based on these variables, compensation for Solairus crewmembers can range from $50,000 to $500,000 annually.
