Pilot in Command – Citation XLS/XLS+ (Full-Time, Dallas, TX)
Jet Linx is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically the Citation XLS/XLS+, operating under Part 91 and Part 135 flight rules. The ideal candidate will reside or be willing to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of the Dallas, TX home base to support timely operations.
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command holds primary responsibility for the safe and efficient preparation and execution of company aircraft operations. This role requires strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Citation XLS/XLS+ Type: 250 hours
- Total Pilot in Command Time in Citation XLS/XLS+ Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Pilot in Command Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions of the Pilot in Command:
The Pilot in Command is expected to perform a range of critical duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest periods in strict compliance with both company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent and reliable communication with the company dispatch and operations teams regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Effectively managing and maintaining electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications to ensure readiness for all flight operations.
- Ensuring all required navigation charts, aviation publications, and company operational manuals are current, accessible, and properly utilized.
- Holding and maintaining a current FAA 1st Class medical certificate at all times.
- Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making capabilities crucial for the safety and efficiency of flight operations.

Other Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in the Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the preceding 24 months is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally within the United States is required.
- Possession of a current passport with unrestricted international travel capabilities, particularly to Canada and Caribbean countries, is necessary.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of a current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of a valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Ability to release and pass a comprehensive FAA Pilot Record Database review as evaluated by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility and willingness to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support dynamic flight operations.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- Work primarily takes place in and around aircraft and airport terminal environments.
- Physical ability to lift and move baggage or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
