Global 5000 Vision Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, has been a leading provider of aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. Rooted in the principles of safety, service, and integrity, EJM seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a Global 5000 Vision aircraft based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Connecticut.
This is a three-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The account anticipates approximately 400 flight hours annually, with 100 hours under Part 91 and 300 hours under Part 135. Only candidates with a Global Vision type rating and extensive international experience will be considered.
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. He or she must adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that crewing and trip assignments are compliant with all relevant company and regulatory standards.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight assignment.
- Employs Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively lead briefings and mitigate potential operational risks.
- Maintains strict compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates effectively with company personnel as required.
- Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by company policy.
- Completes all pre-flight aircraft checks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission-ready.
- Documents all aircraft discrepancies meticulously, following company SOPs.
- Monitors and oversees all aircraft ground servicing tasks (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policies and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service and catering to any special passenger needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and seamless service experience.
- Maintains current regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- Must possess an FAA type rating in the Global Vision aircraft. Candidates without Global Vision experience will not be considered.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $432,000.
