Position Overview
Executive Jet Management seeks qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position operating a Global 5000 Vision aircraft based at Bradley, CT (KBDL). This is a critical role within a 3-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The account is projected to fly approximately 400 hours annually, comprising 100 hours under Part 91 and 300 hours under Part 135. Only candidates holding a type rating in the Global Vision and possessing extensive international experience will be considered. Commuting is permitted solely from locations with available direct flights to the base. The Pilot in Command bears final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations and delivering unparalleled service. This includes:
- Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight: Verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards. Completes all required flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks. Leads required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks. Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. Completes all aircraft pre-flight duties, assessing maintenance status to ensure mission capability, and records aircraft discrepancies per SOPs. Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, is accomplished according to SOPs. Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating special needs. Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience: Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations. Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance: Ensures regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience are current. Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- A valid FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Global VISION) is required; candidates without Global VISION experience will not be considered.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $432,000.
