Pilot in Command - Global 5000 Vision Aircraft
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to operate a Global 5000 Vision aircraft based at Bradley, CT (KBDL). As a subsidiary of NetJets, EJM is part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, renowned for its unwavering commitment to safety, exceptional service, and unwavering integrity.
This is a three-pilot account with a dedicated Maintenance Technician, flying under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The aircraft will accrue approximately 400 flight hours annually, split between 100 hours of Part 91 operations and 300 hours of Part 135 operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operation: This includes adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
- Comprehensive flight planning and management: The PIC undertakes flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance calculations, and utilizes the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Strict adherence to company procedures and coordination with personnel: The PIC complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with EJM personnel as required, acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Meticulous aircraft pre-flight checks and maintenance coordination: The PIC ensures all pre-flight tasks are completed, including verification of aircraft maintenance status, to ensure aircraft mission capability. All discrepancies are recorded in accordance with company SOPs.
- Maintaining aircraft ground servicing standards: The PIC oversees and ensures all ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed in accordance with company SOPs.
- Providing exemplary customer service and passenger briefings: The PIC completes passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation, delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating the specific needs of all passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM): The PIC effectively communicates with the crew and support personnel during all operations, including normal, abnormal, and emergency situations, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Qualifications
- Exceptional service focus: Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and proactively investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills: Working collaboratively with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide consistent service experiences for owners and passengers, effectively resolving conflicts and challenges.
- Commitment to continuous training and compliance: Maintaining required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Proactive safety awareness: Adhering to the company's SMS program and promptly reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
- Significant experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet. Candidates without Global VISION experience will not be considered.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $432,000
