Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and NetJets subsidiary, is seeking a Captain for a Global 5000 aircraft based in Stratford, Connecticut (KBDR). This role involves supporting a three-pilot operation conducting both Part 91 and Part 135 flying, with ultimate responsibility for safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operations, as well as delivering exceptional passenger service.
The Captain is responsible for the overall safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes ensuring crewing and trip assignments meet all regulatory and company requirements, meticulous flight planning, and leadership of required briefings. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, coordination with company personnel, and acting as the Grounds and In-Flight Security Coordinator are key duties. The role also entails pre-flight aircraft checks, discrepancy recording, monitoring ground servicing, and conducting passenger briefings to provide the highest level of customer service. Effective use of Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management is essential for clear communication during all flight operations. The Captain is expected to contribute to service experience improvements, investigate and resolve service deviations, and collaborate effectively with crew and internal partners. Maintaining required training and recency, complying with the Safety Management System, and reporting safety concerns are also integral to this position.
