Pilot in Command – Lear 60
Full-Time – Scottsdale, AZ
Jet Linx seeks qualified Pilot in Command candidates for Midsize jet aircraft, specifically the Lear 60, for Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The ideal candidate is expected to reside within a two-hour call-out time of the home base or be willing to relocate.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures. The PIC ensures all aspects of flight preparation and execution meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
Minimum Requirements
Prospective candidates must meet the following flight hour requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
Key responsibilities of the Pilot in Command include:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintaining and managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills under all circumstances.
- Embodying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
Additional qualifications and requirements for this role include:
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Possession of or ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of a First Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to authorize and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational demands.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary offered is determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size (for crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
