Role Overview:

The Corporate Flight Attendant provides exceptional personal service to ensure the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers during flight operations. This role involves managing all aspects of the cabin experience, from greeting passengers and explaining safety procedures to curating and serving gourmet food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver unparalleled service to clients, ensuring the highest level of safety and comfort for all passengers throughout flights.
  • Direct and assist passengers effectively in emergency situations.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, to passengers requiring assistance.
  • Secure the aircraft cabin meticulously in compliance with federal regulations before take-off and landing.
  • Provide reassurance to passengers during turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight briefings for passengers.
  • Ensure that all necessary provisions, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment, are onboard and sufficient for the trip and passenger count.
  • Source and shop for items specifically requested by passengers for their flight.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck meticulously after each flight leg.
  • Ensure the aircraft cabin is consistently prepared for flight, impeccably cleaned, and fully stocked.
  • Perform periodic cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and cleanliness during flight.
  • Complete all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation accurately.
  • Operate onboard audio and video entertainment systems.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Current First Aid Training Certification, including CPR and AED.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience serving as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Completion of specific corporate flight attendant training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar is highly preferred. Annual recurrent training is required.
  • Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other relevant qualifications but must successfully complete initial flight attendant training prior to receiving a flight assignment.
  • Preference is given to candidates who have completed initial or recurrent training through FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar programs within the past twelve (12) months.
  • Must possess strong technological proficiency and be adept at operating various devices and systems.
  • Requires exceptional flexibility, patience, and adaptability.
  • Must possess strong culinary skills and have completed culinary-specific training.
  • Ability to manage a constantly changing flight schedule, including late-night flights.
  • Availability to travel on short notice, demonstrating the ability to respond within 2-3 hours when on standby duty.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health status and visa requirements.
  • Ability to deploy for trips lasting up to sixteen (16) consecutive days.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all features within the aircraft's Cabin Management System.
  • Proficiency in the operation of all galley equipment.
  • Expertise in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring divans into beds.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of customer service proficiency.
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail in all tasks.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
  • Experience caring for small children is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires physical capabilities necessary for providing exceptional service and ensuring passenger safety in an aircraft environment:

  • Vision: Must have vision correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Requires the ability to read reports, charts, manage paperwork, and effectively use computers, smartphones, and tablet devices.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to speak clearly and possess adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots, including during flight.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand without assistance, including standing for extended periods of up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit. Ability to work long hours in varied climates is necessary.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to maneuver in confined spaces within the aircraft, including kneeling in luggage compartments to load supplies and luggage.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Requires the ability to push/pull the main cabin door, which may weigh up to 130 pounds. Must be able to write, type, use electronic devices, and prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages. Ability to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist high is essential.

Compensation:

Solairus Aviation collects salary range information from multiple industry sources based on current market conditions. Compensation for Solairus crewmembers ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, depending on geographic area, experience level, specific equipment type or aircraft, assigned job duties, required training, and the nature of the assigned account.
