G650 Instructor Pilot
CAE x SIMCOM is seeking a qualified G650 Instructor Pilot. This position operates in accordance with CAE x SIMCOM standards and policies. The Instructor Pilot will deliver ground school and simulator training for customers undertaking Initial, Recurrent, or specialty training courses. The ideal candidate will focus on customer progress and performance, utilizing a tailored approach to training which includes lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, and upkeep of current publications and training materials. Occasional travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Instructor Pilot is responsible for providing standardized training in the classroom and/or simulator (unless specifically requiring the aircraft) for various events, including:
- Captain Upgrades
- Initial/Recurrent Training
- PIC/SIC Evaluations
- Differences Training
- Remedial Training
- Enforcing company standards by teaching and requiring others to fly by set standards of service and safety.
- Possessing strong interpersonal, verbal/written, listening, and presentation skills necessary for effectively teaching required subjects and providing constructive feedback.
- Possessing the skills to properly judge and evaluate pilot performance, and maintaining the willingness to accurately and impartially evaluate.
- Conducting ground and simulator training for customers at SIMCOM.
- Maintaining accurate records, completing proper paperwork, and submitting required documents to the company in a timely manner.
- Evaluating customer progress in gaining skills and knowledge according to standards established at SIMCOM.
- Serving as a liaison between the customers and the training center managers.
- If authorized as TCE for CAE x SIMCOM, conducting Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142.
- Assisting in defining customer training requirements through participation in training conferences and meetings.
- Maintaining competency and qualifications authorized to instruct.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Performing other related duties and assignments as required.
Education / Skills / Background:
- Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of related job-relevant experience.
- Previous experience teaching or training others preferred.
- Proven experience demonstrating a customer service orientation.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
- Must be able to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- FAR Part 135 or 121 experience, with 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
- Excellent fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read, and write.
- Must be an excellent listener and presenter to meet and exceed customer expectations during the training process.
Physical Environment/Working Conditions:
This position involves a dual environment setting: Office and Simulator. It may require some light lifting up to 30lbs and potentially prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
