Job Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G650 aircraft. This full-time position is based in Columbus, OH (KCMH) and operates as part of a dedicated 3-pilot crew, supported by an on-account Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The role primarily involves Part 91 operations with an approximate annual flight time of 275 hours on a known schedule. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring all aircraft operations are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following core functions:

Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:

  • Confirming crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
  • Leading required briefings, utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
  • Adhering strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating proactively with company personnel.
  • Acting as the designated Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
  • Performing thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including verification of maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness.
  • Accurately recording all aircraft discrepancies in line with company SOPs.
  • Monitoring and ensuring completion of all aircraft ground servicing activities (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
  • Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings as per company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs.
  • Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.

Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:

  • Providing superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
  • Investigating and resolving any service deviations promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience.
  • Addressing and resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and acceptably.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:

  • Maintaining all regulatory and company-required training and ensuring recency of experience.
  • Complying fully with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.
    • Must hold a valid FAA Type Rating for the Gulfstream G650 fleet.
    • Well-qualified candidates will be typed and experienced in the G650.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Location:
    • Must reside within two hours of Columbus, OH (KCMH).
