Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G650 aircraft based in Columbus, OH (KCMH). This is a vital role within a dedicated three-pilot team, further supported by a skilled Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The position involves Part 91 operations, with an approximate annual flight schedule of 275 hours and a known, stable schedule. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently, while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
    • Verifying crewing and trip assignments adhere to all company and regulatory requirements.
    • Completing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
    • Leading required briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to proactively mitigate operational risks.
    • Strictly complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating effectively with company personnel.
    • Acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, in accordance with company policy.
    • Performing thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including verification of maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness.
    • Accurately recording all aircraft discrepancies in strict accordance with company SOPs.
    • Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, to ensure compliance with SOPs.
    • Conducting comprehensive passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulatory standards.
    • Delivering the highest level of customer service, including accommodating any special needs of passengers.
    • Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
  • Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
    • Providing premium service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
    • Proactively investigating and resolving any service deviations to maintain high standards.
    • Collaborating seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and superior service experience.
    • Effectively resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
  • Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
    • Rigorously maintaining all regulatory and company-required training certifications and recency of experience.
    • Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • A current FAA Type rating in the Gulfstream G650 aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate/business aviation is highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position, including living within a two-hour commute of Columbus, OH.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
    • PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
