Position Overview

Based in San Jose, CA (US-CA-San Jose), this full-time role (Position Type: Full-Time, Remote: No, ID: 2025-1467, Category: Pilot) involves serving as a Captain on a Gulfstream G650 aircraft. The position requires a commitment to working on an on-call basis to meet operational demands.

Essential Responsibilities

The Gulfstream G650 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Key duties include:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Gulfstream G650 aircraft.
• Conducting thorough reviews of the aircraft's maintenance status.
• Performing comprehensive pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Completing a full assessment of weather conditions and available facilities along planned routes, including alternate airports.
• Operating flights strictly in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Maintaining the highest level of safety for all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

• Total Time: 3000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC): 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Requirements and Certifications

• Must hold a type rating on the Gulfstream G650 or a comparable aircraft type.
• Possession of a current First Class Medical Certificate is required.
• Ability to work effectively on an on-call schedule.
• Commitment to completing annual ICAO International procedures training.
• Primary residence must be located within a two-hour driving distance of KSJC, or the candidate must be willing to relocate.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation reflecting market conditions, geographic location, experience, equipment type, job duties, training, and assigned account specifics. Solairus crew members compensation ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, dependent upon these factors.
