Flight Attendant
Solairus Aviation seeks a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its team, operating from a base at KAUS. This individual will be a flexible and dedicated team player, committed to providing exceptional, around-the-clock service to passengers. A demonstrated passion for culinary arts is essential, with advanced culinary training strongly favored. The Flight Attendant will be responsible for ensuring passenger safety and comfort, delivering premium personal services throughout each flight. Key responsibilities include welcoming passengers, demonstrating safety equipment procedures, and providing food and beverage service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary service to clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort during all flights.
- Direct and assist passengers during emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and general first aid, to passengers in need.
- Secure the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before both takeoff and landing.
- Provide reassurance and support to passengers during turbulent or challenging situations.
- Conduct thorough preflight briefings.
- Ensure the aircraft is properly stocked with food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and all other necessary supplies for the duration of the trip and passenger count.
- Procure items as requested by passengers for their specific flight.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment.
- Complete regular cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and the cleanliness of the cabin.
- Complete all necessary preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Operate onboard audio and video systems.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and possession of First Aid Training Certification.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant-specific training from recognized institutions such as FlightSafety or FACTs (or similar) is preferred, along with a commitment to annual recurrent training. Candidates without formal flight attendant training will be considered based on other qualifications but will be required to complete initial flight attendant training before being assigned to a flight. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or equivalent training within the past 12 months.
- Proficiency in technology is required.
- Demonstrated flexibility and patience.
- Extensive culinary skills and formal culinary training is necessary.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing schedule and manage late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response time when on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally (considering health and visa status).
- Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Competence in operating all features of Cabin Management Systems.
- Expertise in operating all galley equipment.
- Capability to operate all cabin features, including berthing seats and divan conversions to beds.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a strong advantage.
- Experience with small children is desirable.
Specific Requirements:
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better with corrective lenses; uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be capable of reading reports, charts, post-flight documentation, and using computers, smartphones, and/or tablets.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must speak clearly and have adequate hearing for effective communication over the phone and in person with clients, colleagues, and pilots, even during flight operations.
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and capable of walking and standing unaided, with the ability to stand for up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit. Must be able to work extended hours in diverse climates.
- Mobility: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to load supplies and luggage and navigate tight spaces within the aircraft.
- Strength and Dexterity: Must be able to open and close the main cabin door, weighing up to 130 pounds. Must be capable of writing, typing, using computers and phones, and preparing/serving food and beverages. Should be able to lift supplies weighing 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height repeatedly.
Compensation:
Solairus Aviation's salary ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, reflecting market conditions, geographic location, experience, aircraft type, job duties, training, and specific account assignments.
