Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Challenger 650 Captain is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safe and prudent operation of the Challenger 650 aircraft. Key duties include:

Thoroughly reviewing the aircraft’s maintenance status.
Conducting a comprehensive pre-flight inspection in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
Performing a complete assessment of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including all primary and alternate airports.
Ensuring all flights strictly adhere to Solairus Aviation policies and procedures, as well as applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Safeguarding the well-being of all passengers, the aircraft, and the flight crew.
Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in accordance with established procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum flight experience requirements include:

Total Time: 3,000 hours
Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Candidates must possess:

A current Challenger 650 type rating or a comparable aircraft type rating.
A valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
The ability to work effectively on an on-call basis.
The capability to complete annual ICAO International Procedures training.
A primary residence within a two-hour drive of KPBI (Palm Beach International Airport) or a willingness to relocate to the West Palm Beach, FL area.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for Solairus crewmembers is competitive, ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 annually. This comprehensive range is determined by various factors including geographic area, experience level, specific equipment/aircraft type, job duties, and assigned account details.
