Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft based at Manassas, VA (KHEF). This integral role operates under Part 135 regulations within a dedicated two-pilot account, comprehensively supported by a skilled Maintenance Technician. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, while also strictly adhering to all company and regulatory requirements and delivering an exceptional service experience to all passengers.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following core areas:
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifying that crewing and trip assignments are fully compliant with both company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assigned mission.
- Leading required pre-flight and in-flight briefings, utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Strictly complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating seamlessly with relevant company personnel as required.
- Acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by company policy.
- Executing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including a thorough assessment of the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness.
- Accurately recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring the proper accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducting thorough passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and aviation regulations.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Actively utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing superior quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations to maintain high service standards.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent and premium service experience to owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
Maintaining Professional Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all required regulatory and company-specific training and recency of experience.
- Complying fully with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Pilot in Command position will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in professional aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is highly preferred.
- Possession of an FAA Type rating in the applicable Challenger 650 fleet is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
