Pilot in Command - Challenger 650 (KHPN)

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position on a Challenger 650 aircraft based in White Plains, NY (KHPN). This role operates within a three-pilot crew structure, supported by dedicated maintenance and cabin attendant personnel, flying approximately 325 hours annually. Flight operations include Part 91, owner Part 315, and retail charter Part 135 hours, with international travel to Europe, Canada, and the Islands.

The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure flight operations and crewing comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform comprehensive flight planning, including performance and weight and balance calculations.
  • Utilize Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology for risk mitigation and briefings.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate effectively with company personnel.
  • Serve as Ground Security Coordinator and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Execute all pre-flight tasks, including verifying aircraft maintenance status for mission readiness.
  • Record aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
  • Oversee aircraft ground servicing, including fueling and fluid replenishment, in accordance with SOPs.
  • Conduct passenger briefings and provide exceptional customer service, accommodating special needs.
  • Employ Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for effective communication during all flight operations.
  • Deliver superior service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Collaborate with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
  • Resolve conflicts and challenges professionally.
  • Maintain all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
  • Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report safety concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet.
  • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 300 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours
  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must reside within a two-hour radius of White Plains, NY (KHPN).

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary Range: $260,000 - $300,000 for Large/Heavy/Premium cabin aircraft.
