G450 Pilot in Command - Houston, TX
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G450 aircraft based in Houston, TX (KCXO). This position supports a two-pilot account with dedicated Maintenance Technician support under Part 135 operations. This impeccably maintained aircraft is a welcome addition to EJM's Part 135 certificate. The aircraft is estimated to fly approximately 300 hours annually, with around 200 hours dedicated to retail charter, with frequent destinations including Los Angeles, Miami, Salt Lake City, and the Caribbean.
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. He complies with all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Responsibilities:
Leads Flight Department Success:
- Manages client relationships while balancing client and EJM needs. Communicates proactively to address issues or opportunities.
- Collaborates with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance events, including database updates, audits, and checklists.
- Completes aircraft owner/account duties such as invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew schedules.
- Supports flight department crew members, motivates achievement of goals, and represents the EJM brand. Reports concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot.
- Manages flight department administration, including supplies, subscriptions, and crew schedules.
Ensures Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Employs Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and serves as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks and records discrepancies according to SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed per SOPs.
- Delivers passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation. Meets special passenger needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM).
Delivers Exceptional Service:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers while enhancing the EJM service experience.
- Collaborates with crew members and internal partners to provide consistent service.
Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety concerns.
- Ensures crewmembers remain qualified.
- Ensures crewmembers comply with company policies and audits.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience flying under Part 135 is required.
- Residency in the Houston-Conroe area is strongly preferred.
- Applicants residing within a 3-hour driving distance of KCXO (Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth) will be considered.
- G450/V550 type rating is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
