Taking the Lead in Aviation Education:
- Flight Instruction (95%):
- Provide comprehensive supervision and guidance to students during simulator sessions, flight training, and ground studies.
- Deliver engaging and effective ground and flight instruction, adhering to established training programs and company procedures.
- Prepare students for examinations and foster a deep understanding of aviation principles.
- Championing Quality and Continuous Improvement (5%):
- Proactively identify and address any non-conformities to maintain exceptional training standards.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of innovative tools and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and standardization.
- Partner with the Chief Instructor to ensure unwavering adherence to Transport Canada regulations and guidelines.
Charting a Course for Success:
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Education: College diploma in pilot technical training.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Flight Instructor Class 1 endorsement.
- Authorized Person certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Flight Instructor.
- Proven understanding of pilot licensing standards and experience interfacing with Transport Canada.
Knowledge is Power:
- Aeronautical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of aeronautics and meteorology.
- Regulatory Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of aviation laws and regulations, including Transport Canada standards.
- Teaching Prowess: Strong grasp of adult teaching methodologies. Familiarity with collegiate teaching techniques is considered a valuable asset.
