Position Summary
The Flight Attendant plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations, directly impacting PSA Airlines’ business growth. By providing professional and courteous service in accordance with company standards and regulations, the Flight Attendant contributes significantly to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the highest levels of safety and security onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the Captain in the safe and efficient execution of flight operations from planning through termination.
- Ensures strict compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and all company procedures and policies.
- Completes all assigned duties by either the company or the Captain in a correct and timely manner.
- Conducts thorough preflight inspections of all cabin emergency equipment relevant to the specific aircraft type, as detailed in the Inflight Manual.
- Reports any mechanical discrepancies promptly and accurately to the Captain.
- Clearly and directly communicates any perceptions regarding passenger safety to the Captain.
- Maintains a high degree of crew coordination, professionalism, and effective communication within the flight crew.
- Performs all duties with professionalism, efficiency, and a cordial demeanor at all times while on duty.
- Completes required records and reports accurately.
- Is responsible for adherence to the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS), including associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and company operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A college education or a minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
- Must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application.
- Ability to relocate or commute to an assigned domicile is necessary.
- Physical height requirements include a maximum height of 6 feet 0 inches and a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches, measured with shoes.
- Must possess a valid United States or foreign passport with any applicable required visas.
- Must be able to provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the U.S. upon hire.
- Candidates must successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) in accordance with 49 CFR 1542.209, as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
- The role primarily operates within an aircraft environment. Physical demands include the ability to talk or hear regularly, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift weight up to 25 lbs, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms.
