Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its operation based at KVNY. This role is integral to delivering superior service and ensuring passenger safety aboard a private aircraft. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player with a strong commitment to excellence, capable of handling diverse responsibilities around the clock.

Role Overview

The Corporate Flight Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional personal service, maintaining the highest standards of safety, and ensuring the comfort of passengers during flight. This position requires a proactive individual willing to take on additional duties to exceed passenger expectations. A passion for food and significant culinary experience are essential, with advanced culinary training strongly preferred. Key duties include greeting passengers, conducting safety briefings, and expertly managing food and beverage service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout flights.
  • Direct and assist passengers effectively, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED use, to passengers in distress.
  • Ensure the cabin is secured in full compliance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing.
  • Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
  • Conduct thorough preflight briefings for passengers.
  • Manage cabin supplies, ensuring sufficient quantities of food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessities are onboard.
  • Procure specialized items requested by passengers for their flight experience.
  • Conduct meticulous inspection, cleaning, and stocking of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight leg.
  • Maintain the aircraft cabin in a state of readiness for every flight, ensuring it is cleaned and stocked.
  • Perform periodic cabin checks to ensure ongoing passenger comfort and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Complete all required preflight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
  • Operate onboard audio and video systems.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations. Current First Aid Training Certification is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant is essential. Specific flight attendant training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety or FACTs is preferred, and annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal initial flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training prior to receiving a flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.

The ideal candidate must be technologically savvy and demonstrate flexibility, patience, and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. A high level of attention to detail is crucial. Strong culinary skills, including culinary specific training, are required. The ability to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights and availability for short-notice assignments (2-3 hour response if on Standby), is necessary. The role requires unrestricted ability to travel worldwide for deployments lasting up to 16 consecutive days.

Familiarity with the operation of Cabin Management Systems, all galley equipment, and cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring divans, is expected. A college degree is preferred. The ability to speak one or more foreign languages fluently is also preferred, as is experience flying with small children.

Specific Physical Requirements

  • Seeing: Vision correctable to 20/20 or better (with correction). Must be able to read reports, charts, paperwork, and use electronic devices.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Clear speaking ability required. Adequate hearing is necessary for effective communication in person, over the phone, and in-flight.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable of standing and walking without assistance for extended periods, up to 14 hours with limited sitting. Ability to work long hours in varied climates.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in luggage compartments and maneuver in confined aircraft spaces.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to operate the main cabin door (requiring push/pull force up to 130 lbs). Must be able to write, type, use devices, prepare and serve food/beverages, and lift supplies weighing approximately 25-30 lbs repeatedly from floor to waist height.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation crewmember compensation is based on market conditions and varies depending on geographic area, experience level, aircraft type, specific job duties, required training, and the assigned account. Salary ranges collected from multiple industry sources indicate compensation between $50,000 and $500,000.
