Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Flight Attendant to join its operation based at KVNY. This role requires a highly flexible and collaborative team player who is prepared to assume diverse responsibilities to deliver unparalleled service to passengers at any hour. A strong culinary background and a genuine passion for food are essential, with advanced culinary training highly regarded. The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional personal services, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of aircraft passengers throughout all phases of flight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the highest standard of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers during flight operations.
- Guide and assist passengers effectively during emergency procedures.
- Administer essential first aid, including CPR and AED use, to passengers requiring medical assistance.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations by securing the aircraft cabin prior to take-off and landing.
- Provide reassurance and support to passengers during periods of turbulence or other challenging flight conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive preflight safety briefings for passengers.
- Verify that sufficient provisions, including food, beverages, comfort items, reading materials, and emergency equipment, are on board and meet the trip's requirements and passenger count.
- Procure specific items requested by passengers to enhance their in-flight experience.
- Conduct thorough inspection, cleaning, and restocking of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck following each flight segment.
- Maintain the aircraft in a state of readiness, ensuring it is consistently clean and fully stocked for upcoming flights.
- Perform regular cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Accurately complete all necessary preflight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate aircraft audio and video entertainment systems.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Current First Aid Training Certification (including CPR/AED).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Completion of specialized flight attendant training from recognized providers such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or equivalent is highly preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory.
- Candidates lacking formal initial flight attendant training may be considered based on exceptional alternative qualifications but must successfully complete initial training prior to receiving flight assignments.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or comparable training within the last 12 months.
- Demonstrated technological proficiency.
- Possession of flexibility and patience.
- Proven culinary skills are required, and specific culinary training is necessary.
- Ability to effectively manage a dynamic schedule that includes frequent changes and late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice, with the ability to respond within 2-3 hours when on standby.
- Unrestricted ability to travel globally (considering health and visa requirements).
- Capability to be deployed for trips lasting up to 16 consecutive days.
- Proficiency in operating all features of Aircraft Cabin Management Systems.
- Skill in operating all galley equipment.
- Competence in configuring and operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and converting divans into beds.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Experience caring for small children is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the physical ability to perform duties essential for aircraft operation and passenger safety and comfort, including but not limited to:
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better (uncorrected no worse than 20/20) to read documents, use electronic devices, and manage paperwork.
- Hearing/Speaking: Adequate hearing for effective communication in person and over aircraft systems, even in flight, and the ability to speak clearly.
- Mobility: Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours) with limited sitting, walk without assistance, and work long hours in varying climates.
- Agility: Capability to kneel, stoop, bend, and maneuver in confined spaces within the aircraft cabin and luggage compartments.
- Strength & Dexterity: Ability to push/pull the main cabin door (weighing up to 130 lbs), lift and carry supplies weighing approximately 25-30 lbs repeatedly from floor to waist height, and possess the dexterity required for writing, typing, operating devices, and preparing/serving food and beverages.
Compensation:
Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation based on market conditions and various factors including geographic area, experience level, aircraft type, specific job duties, required training, and assigned account. Solairus crewmembers can anticipate annual compensation ranging from $50,000 to $500,000, depending on these variables.
