Position Summary
The Flight Attendant plays a critical role in representing the GlobalX brand, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers. This position demands adaptability, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully completes an intensive initial new hire training program.
- Executes directives from the Lead Flight Attendant efficiently.
- Provides professional and efficient service to all customers.
- Upholds the Global Crossing Airlines brand with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Adheres strictly to company standards and regulations concerning attendance, personal grooming, and appearance while in uniform or on company property.
- Participates actively in preflight briefings and conducts thorough preflight checks, including emergency equipment, required aircraft supplies, catering confirmation, general aircraft condition and cleanliness, and lavatory compliance with FAA regulations.
- Demonstrates adaptability and performs effectively under pressure, executing a variety of duties.
- Clearly explains and demonstrates the use of safety equipment and procedures, rigorously enforcing all safety regulations as appropriate.
- Prepares the aircraft for passenger boarding, warmly greets passengers, verifies boarding passes and seat assignments, assists with carry-on baggage stowage and security, and proficiently prepares and serves meals and beverages.
- Maintains an uncompromising dedication to safety while consistently delivering a high level of customer service.
- Is available and prepared for duty when on a reserve schedule, which includes nights, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime.
- Is prepared for extended periods of travel away from the base.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude throughout all duties.
- Performs other safety and compliance-related duties as directed, even if not explicitly described herein.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or possess the ability to obtain all necessary visas and permits required for international travel to any country GlobalX operates in.
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work a minimum 70-hour guarantee.
- A minimum of two (2) years of proven customer service experience.
- Successful completion of the required Inflight Training Program, including Initial Training and Annual Recurrent Training.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to reach six feet without shoes.
- Must reside in or around the MIA (Miami International Airport) area.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including reserve duty, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Maintains a well-groomed and professional appearance without visible tattoos or piercings.
- Ability to successfully pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check.
Physical Requirements
The Flight Attendant role demands various physical capabilities. The employee is regularly required to communicate effectively and listen. Frequent requirements include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional tasks involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The position frequently requires lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and pushing a service cart weighing up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Expectations
This position requires extensive travel, including weekends and holidays. Overnight travel is a regular expectation.
