Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550 (KHND)

Position Summary:

The Pilot in Command holds the final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This role requires strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients. This position is based in Las Vegas, NV, and is not commutable; applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.

Key Responsibilities:

The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance. Specific duties include:

  • Ensuring crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks as required for each assignment.
  • Utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel.
  • Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
  • Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
  • Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
  • Completing passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation.
  • Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers.
  • Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
  • Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolving service deviations.
  • Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
  • Resolving conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.
  • Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complying with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must reside in or relocate to Las Vegas, NV.
  • Prior Part 135 experience is required.
  • An FAA Type rating for G450/V/550 series aircraft is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum flight time requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position (categorized as Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Size) is $160,000 – $425,000.
