Gulfstream G550 Pilot in Command - Las Vegas, NV
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Las Vegas, Nevada (KHND). The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience. This position supports a 3-pilot account with a dedicated maintenance technician, operating under EJM's P135 certificate. The aircraft flies approximately 500 hours annually. This position is not commutable; applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crew assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks effectively.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all pre-flight tasks, including verification of aircraft maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) are monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Delivers passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any special needs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides consistently high-quality service to owners and passengers. Proactively identifies and resolves service deviations to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Collaborates effectively with crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience. Resolves conflict and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the designated channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Prior P135 experience is required.
- FAA Type rating G450/V/550 series is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Size: $160,000 – $425,000
