Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Las Vegas, Nevada (KHND). This position is not commutable, requiring candidates to reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC is expected to adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to clients.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including reviewing the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, are accomplished according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers, including those who are physically challenged.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate clearly and timely with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflict and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and ensuring recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Must reside in or relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Prior experience operating under Part 135 regulations is required.
- An FAA Type rating for the G450/V/550 series is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- Pilot in Command (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation
Base Salary Range for this cabin size (Large/Heavy/Premium): $160,000 – $425,000
