Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550/G600 - Tampa, FL
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Tampa, FL (KTPA). This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a well-established Part 91 operation with a desirable work/life balance. The aircraft is supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. Plans are underway to upgrade the aircraft to a Gulfstream G600 within the next year. This is not a commutable position.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with all applicable company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Employs Threat, Plan, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducts thorough aircraft pre-flight checks, including verification of maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Accurately records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensures proper monitoring and completion of all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Delivers comprehensive passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations. Provides the highest level of customer service, addressing any special passenger needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers while actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and currency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of aviation experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in either the GV series (G450/550) or GVII series (G500/600) aircraft is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
