Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a G550 aircraft based in Tampa, FL (KTPA). This position operates under Part 91 regulations and is supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The established owner's flight schedule typically averages 220 hours annually, offering a desirable work-life balance for the crew.
The Pilot in Command bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company policies and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures all flight operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
- Verifies crew assignments and trip logistics meet company and regulatory standards.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodologies to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates with company personnel as necessary. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks, including verifying aircraft maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Documents all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures proper completion of all ground servicing, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, in compliance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulations. Provides exceptional customer service and accommodates any special needs of passengers.
- Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during routine, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers exceptional service to owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities for service enhancement and resolving any service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with crew members and internal EJM partners to deliver a consistent and superior service experience. Resolves conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintains all necessary regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
