Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Pilot (H) is to supervise assigned department staff, aircraft, and operations within FAA, safety, and aviation standards.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety-related position. All Sands Aviation, LLC Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all FAA, Safety, and Company Standard Operating procedures while providing supervision and management of passengers and crew. Supervises assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term service objectives.
  • Be familiar with FAR 91 operations. Supervises the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Supervise assigned staff to include: hiring recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; training; coaching; performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling. Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
  • Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure VCR’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
  • Adhere to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy, complies with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage staff and organize department functions in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Delegate tasks and department assignments or projects, meeting deadlines related to those assignments.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service and/or product quality.
  • Develop staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manage resources to eliminate excess cost or unnecessary expenditures.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires an FFA second-class medical certificate.
  • Airbus A330 and/or A340 experience.
  • FAA Licensed in either A330 or A340.
  • Minimum 5,000 hours total flight hours, with 1,000 hours on either A330/A340 equipment.
  • Must possess GIV, GIII, 767, or BBJ type rating with International corporate experience.
  • Ground School, simulator training, and flight physical must be current within the past calendar year.
  • International flight experience.
  • Las Vegas residence, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
