Second in Command – Gulfstream G400
Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) for its Heavy jet aircraft, specifically the Gulfstream G400, to support Part 91 and 135 flight operations based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must reside within a two-hour call-out time of the base area or be willing to relocate.
The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. He assists in the preparation for and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Position Summary:
The SIC assists the Pilot in Command in all aspects of flight operations, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers and crew. He will uphold the highest standards of professionalism and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 2500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions:
- Manages duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with company and CFR requirements.
- Maintains consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintains and manages electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensures navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current.
- Maintains a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Exercises strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates Jet Linx’s core values in all interactions.
Other Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Current passport.
- ATP (ability to obtain ATP).
- 1st Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- The majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
