Pilot in Command (PIC) – Heavy Jet Fleet
Jet Linx invites highly qualified and experienced aviation professionals to apply for the critical role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for our Heavy Jet fleet. This rewarding career opportunity involves executing safe and efficient Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Candidates must currently reside or be prepared to relocate within a two-hour call-out radius of their assigned home base to ensure operational responsiveness.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is a leadership position reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The primary responsibility is to maintain absolute command, ensuring the comprehensive preparation, safety, and operational efficiency of company aircraft. The PIC must operate strictly in adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintain strict compliance with company and CFR requirements governing duty, flight, and rest times.
- Ensure consistent, reliable communication with company dispatch regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and accurate pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Diligently manage and maintain electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Guarantee that all required navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and accessible.
- Convey and apply strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Maintain a current First Class FAA medical certificate.
- Consistently demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and duties.
Minimum Professional Qualifications (Flight Time Requirements)
Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements to be considered for this Heavy Jet Pilot in Command position:
- Total Time — 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) — 2,000 hours
- Total Time in Type — 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type — 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine — 1,500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC — 500 hours
- Total Turbine — 500 hours
- Total Instrument — 300 hours
Additional Requirements and Certifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent substantial work experience is required.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Must hold a current First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
- Possession of a current passport and FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally to all EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
- Must possess proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States and obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by operational schedules.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis; majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Preferred: Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type completed within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits

The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $195,000 to $251,000. The actual base salary provided is determined by the candidate’s geographic location, aircraft size, and relevant education, training, and experience.
