Job Overview
Jet Linx is actively recruiting experienced Second in Command (SIC) candidates for its Super Midsize jet fleet, specifically the Challenger 300/350. This role is integral to Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Prospective candidates are expected to reside within a two-hour call-out radius of their designated home base or demonstrate a willingness to relocate accordingly.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures. This role demands a high level of professionalism and dedication to aviation safety standards.
Minimum Flight Experience Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Engine Time: 100 hours
- Total Instrument Flight Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Proactive management of duty, flight, and rest times to meet both company and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) requirements.
- Effective communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Diligent maintenance and management of electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated software applications.
- Ensuring all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current and valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.

Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
- Must possess the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must possess a current passport.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with unrestricted privileges is required.
- A current First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- A Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit (FCC) is required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Must possess unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Must be able to provide a release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- The majority of the work environment is conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Must be capable of frequently lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000. The final base salary offered will be determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft type and crew position, relevant education, specialized training, and overall candidate experience. The extensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a generous 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
