Second in Command - Challenger 300/350
Full-Time – Dallas, TX
Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified Second in Command candidates to operate Super Midsize jet aircraft under Part 91 and 135 flight operations. This full-time position is based in Dallas, TX.
Candidates are expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a 2-hour call-out time of their assigned home base.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The SIC is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Time: 2500 hours
- Total PIC: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Essential Functions
The SIC performs essential duties including:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and CFRs.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Holding and maintaining a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills during all phases of flight operations.
- Embodying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
- Initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
- Possession of a current passport is necessary.
- Possession of an ATP certificate or the ability to obtain an ATP is required.
- Must hold a 1st Class Medical certificate.
- Must possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Must have unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $100,000 to $149,999.98. The actual base salary offered is contingent upon factors including geographic location, aircraft size (for crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
