Role Summary

The Flight Attendant is responsible for providing a safe and comfortable travel experience for all passengers. This role demands a commitment to safety, a genuine hospitality spirit, and a strong understanding of both inflight service duties and emergency procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a positive and approachable demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and fellow employees. This position is represented by a union.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety and Security: Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and maintain the functionality of all safety equipment onboard.
• Guest Service: Warmly greet passengers, assist with seating assignments, manage carry-on baggage, and ensure passenger security.
• Information and Guidance: Clearly explain and demonstrate safety equipment usage and emergency procedures.
• Inflight Service: Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcoholic options.
• Onboard Marketing: Effectively promote onboard products and services, such as meals, inflight entertainment, and other amenities, utilizing mobile devices for sales transactions.
• Passenger Assistance: Calmly address and resolve passenger issues, including potential medical emergencies.
• Flight Knowledge: Answer questions regarding flight operations and provide destination information.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Training Requirements

Successful candidates will undergo four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.

Tattoo Policy

Visible tattoos are restricted on the face, front of neck, and chest. One tattoo the size of a quarter or smaller is permitted per hand. Tattoos in other areas cannot exceed the size of a credit card and must not be offensive. Employees may have one tattoo per arm, leg, foot, back of neck, or behind each ear. Tattoos on the back of neck and behind ears are only allowed if they are not visible when looking directly at the individual. Tattoos may be covered with uniform pieces or approved jewelry/watches; makeup is not permitted for this purpose.

Job-Specific Experience, Education, and Skills

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of customer or community service experience.
• Unwavering dedication to safety.
• Physical dimensions compatible with aircraft specifications (e.g., jump seat, harness, cabin aisle, emergency exits).
• Ability to adhere to company grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
• Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of a flight attendant.
• Willingness to relocate to any of our flight attendant bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.
• Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
• Adaptability to perform a variety of duties effectively under pressure.
• Ability to attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
• Current passport with unrestricted access to and from the United States. Employees with non-U.S. passports will require appropriate travel documentation. Must be able to fly unrestricted to and from Canada.
• Fluency in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar are required to obtain a SIDA badge from the airport authority and maintain good standing to retain the badge. Failure to qualify for or maintain a SIDA badge will result in termination of employment.

• Starting Rate: USD $0.00/Hr.

  • First-year step rate: $20.55 (per contract).
