Second in Command (SIC)
Seeks a highly motivated and safety-focused individual to serve as a Second in Command (SIC) in its flight operations. The SIC plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of passengers, mail, freight, and other commercial cargo.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties as Second in Command for commercial flights, including the transport of passengers, mail, freight, or other cargo.
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of flight conduct, encompassing comprehensive preflight preparations (including paperwork and restrictions), ensuring safe flight operations, and executing all required post-flight duties.
- Rigorously comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), company flight procedures, and established company policies on scheduled flights and routes to uphold the highest standards of aviation safety.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific prior qualifying flight time requirements as mandated by Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Proof of flight time is essential and will be verified with the System Chief Pilot and/or the Director of Operations at the time of interview.
- Possess 200 hours of FAA-approved Prior Qualifying Time serving as Pilot in Command in Part 121 operations (per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
- OR Possess 200 hours serving as Second in Command at a Part 121 carrier (per FAR § 121.436(a)(3)).
- OR Possess 200 hours serving as Pilot in Command at a Part 91 carrier operating multi-engine turbine-powered fixed-wing or powered-lift aircraft, holding an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license and an applicable type rating (per FAR § 91.1053(a)(2)(i)).
