PHI Health, a leading air ambulance provider, is seeking a skilled First Officer to join its life-saving team in Kansas City, MO. This role involves serving as the Second in Command (SIC) on Learjet 31A aircraft for airplane air ambulance operations, contributing to rapid medical response missions.
About the Role

Operate as a First Officer (SIC) on Learjet 31A aircraft for Airplane Air Ambulance (HAA) operations.

Partake in a two-pilot crew environment, supporting 24-hour operations with day/night rotations.

Uphold the highest standards of safety in accordance with CAMTS guidelines and company policies, including Destination Zero and the Safety Management System.

Assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment, requiring some lifting.

Participate in community outreach programs.

Perform line pilot duties as outlined in the General Operations Manual (GOM).

Provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service to internal and external customers.

Maintain residency within a one-hour commute of the base.

A minimum one-year service requirement applies if aircraft transition training is necessary; a two-year requirement applies if a relocation package is utilized.

Instrument rating is required.

Must meet and maintain the company's flight personnel weight restriction policy (235 lbs or less).

Must pass a pre-placement physical exam, including a functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, ability to lift 100 pounds), drug screening, and background screen.

Must undergo Tuberculosis screening, provide proof of Varicella and MMR vaccinations or positive titers, and meet Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis vaccination requirements.

Hepatitis B vaccination series history and a positive hepatitis B surface antibody titer are required for staff with risk of exposure.

Annual flu vaccination (within the last twelve months).

COVID-19 Vaccination is required.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Successful candidate must pass an interview and receive acceptance from the customer and PHI management.
