About the Role

A reputable aviation company is seeking a qualified First Officer to support aircraft Captains in ensuring the safe and timely piloting of aircraft and performing essential aircraft management duties. This role involves comprehensive flight planning, aircraft airworthiness determination, and effective operation of the aircraft in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must meet the minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate.
• ATP written is preferred.
• Meet current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hour requirements set by the FAA and Company.
• Ability to pass an FAA-required 10-year work history review and criminal background and fingerprint checks.
• Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
• Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
• Must submit to and be able to pass FAA and Company mandated drug and alcohol tests.

• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and understand technical procedures and governmental regulations, often quickly and under stressful conditions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, dispatch, crew, passengers, air traffic control, and the general public.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, including the ability to deliver shouted verbal commands during emergencies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle various variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Capability to interpret multiple instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to remain calm, think, and react quickly in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.
• Proficiency in making decisions that support strategic direction, with an understanding of medium-range significance and potential safety-of-flight consequences.
• Ability to process information rapidly and react positively in unexpected or serious situations.
• Capacity to control personal and emotional responses and act appropriately under high stress.
• Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and crawl.
• Ability to sit for extended periods without standing.
• Physical strength to operate emergency equipment and exits, requiring up to 70 pounds of force.
• Capability to move objects up to 40 pounds (e.g., flight bag).
• Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds (e.g., passenger carry-on luggage).
• Adherence to visual demands set by FAA medical standards.
• Ability to hear verbal communications clearly in person, over the phone, and via headset amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
• Stamina to work long days, on sequential days, with frequent changes in temperature, climate, and weather conditions.
• Ability to move freely, effectively, and quickly within the confined environment of the aircraft.
• Capacity to sit in the pilot's seat or assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
• Willingness and ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to withstand outdoor weather conditions for extended periods on the flight line.
• Capacity to work extended duty periods on sequential days, with a varied schedule including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays.
• Ability to work extended hours with limited scheduling control and report to work with little notice.
• Willingness to relocate based on Company operational needs.
