Pilot in Command - Challenger 300
Gary Jet Center, Inc., a full-service aviation company based at Gary/Chicago Airport (KGYY), seeks a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 300 aircraft utilized for Part 91 Owner Operations. The ideal candidate resides within a two-hour radius of KGYY.
Responsibilities:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Company's General Operating Manual (GOM), Flight Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and all other relevant instructions pertaining to the role.
- Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of all flight assignments.
- Plan flight assignments and obtain comprehensive briefing information including flight purpose, weather conditions, operational procedures, and special instructions.
- Verify that the aircraft is inspected, loaded, equipped, and manned according to flight assignment requirements.
- Oversee the loading and distribution of cargo and passengers, ensuring that weight and balance conform to prescribed limitations as outlined in loading schedules, load computers, or applicable information and graphs within the Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Operate the aircraft at optimal altitudes, considering factors such as turbulence, oxygen requirements, and passenger comfort during flight.
- Report directly to the Chief Pilot for the performance of all assigned duties, maintaining a commitment to safe and efficient flight operations.
Qualifications:
Required Certifications and Licenses:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Current US Passport
Preferred Certifications and Licenses:
- Challenger 300/350 Type Rating (not mandatory)
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 2000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 3000 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet/Turbine: 1000 hours
