GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join its team. This role involves understanding current technology trends and state-of-the-art processor, System On Chip, and FPGA components, influencing avionics hardware architectures, and supporting new bid/proposals. The position requires both leadership and hands-on contributions, involving conducting and mentoring experienced design engineers in board level circuit design, integration, verification, and documentation of leading-edge aerospace processor and/or FPGA assemblies. The engineer will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to complex issues, and resolve problems through immediate action or short-term planning.
The Senior Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for architecting moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems encompassing both digital and analog components. The role requires maintaining specialized knowledge in semiconductor processors, System-on-Chip, and FPGA component architectures, along with in-depth knowledge of hardware design best practices and integration with electronics manufacturing. The engineer will participate in hardware design architectural trade studies, reviews, and proposals, using judgment to make decisions on moderately complex tasks or problems. The position involves taking a new perspective on existing solutions, using technical experience for data analysis to support recommendations, and utilizing multiple internal and limited external sources for decision-making. This individual will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explaining difficult or sensitive information and working to build consensus, as well as developing persuasion skills to influence others within the field, are key aspects of the role.
This position is based in Grand Rapids, MI, or Clearwater, FL, and offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, necessitating a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is available for eligible candidates.

The base pay range for this position is $121,500.00 - $140,000.00. The specific pay offered is influenced by factors including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary.
