Responsibilities of a Flight Attendant
The Flight Attendant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service while adhering to FAA and Frontier guidelines. Key duties include:
- Conducting pre-flight safety checks and emergency equipment inspections.
- Ensuring proper loading and storage of luggage.
- Maintaining cabin safety and security during all phases of flight.
- Providing clear safety instructions and demonstrations.
- Preparing galleys, checking supplies, and managing beverage/snack services.
- Selling onboard products.
- Administering emergency medical assistance.
- Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Adhering to all DOT, FAA, and Frontier regulations, including drug and alcohol compliance.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age of 20 years to begin the interview process.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel to international destinations.
- Professional appearance adhering to uniform and appearance guidelines, including specific tattoo policies.
- Willingness to relocate to the assigned base location.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Ability to travel for long stretches of time and adapt to schedule changes.
- Willingness to fly international and domestic routes.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
- Ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds frequently.
- Ability to be secured in jump seats without extensions.
Work Environment
Flight Attendants operate in a dynamic environment with variable conditions, including changing climates, air turbulence, variable hours, confined spaces, and noise. The role is physically demanding, requiring repetitive motions, standing for extended periods, and the ability to operate emergency equipment.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $25.50.
