What Will You Be Doing?
The Flight Attendant will perform a variety of services to ensure a high level of customer service, including passenger interaction, addressing questions and concerns, and selling onboard products. Following established FAA and Frontier guidelines, the Flight Attendant will also respond to inflight emergencies or security concerns.
Essential Functions
- Adheres to all Federal Aviation Regulations and Frontier Airlines policies.
- Initiates and conducts emergency cabin evacuations if necessary.
- Conducts preflight safety checks of cabin emergency equipment.
- Ensures proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage.
- Maintains cabin safety and security during all phases of flight.
- Prepares and secures doors, announcing departure/arrival information via the PA system.
- Provides instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features.
- Sets up the galley, checks supplies, stows beverage and snack carts, and verifies inventory.
- Sells snacks and beverages, collects and stows all service items, and informs passengers of products.
- Provides emergency medical assistance, including CPR and basic first aid.
- Maintains a positive attitude and composure at all times.
- Performs tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Completes work assignments reliably, adhering to Frontier Airlines policies.
- Maintains a professional appearance, complying with uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Complies with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines regulations on drug and alcohol compliance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum age of 20 years to begin the interview process.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Valid passport and ability to travel in/out of the United States is required, as well as the ability to travel to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance including adherence to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines; no visible tattoos above the collar bone or on the hands. Tattoos that may become briefly exposed during normal duties can be covered with makeup.
- Willingness to relocate to an assigned base location.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.
- Willingness to adapt to schedule changes on short notice.
- Willingness to fly both international and domestic routes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with and reassure passengers in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Capability to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds frequently.
- Ability to be secured in jump seats without seatbelt extensions or modifications.
Equipment Operated
Includes beverage/snack carts, galley equipment, POS systems, flight stairs, aircraft cabin equipment, doors, and emergency equipment.
Work Environment
The work environment may involve varying climate conditions, air turbulence, changing locations, variable hours, dry air, noise, dim lighting, and confined spaces. It is typically fast-paced and physically demanding, including shifts that vary across days, weekends, evenings, red-eyes and holidays.
Physical Effort
- Perform frequent repetitive motions, including bending and sustaining positions.
- Must have 20/20 vision and sufficient hearing for safety.
- Ability to hear and respond to onboard chime systems, calls, and announcements.
- Ability to stand throughout most of work shifts.
- Ability to perform in-flight duties in a pressurized cabin.
- Possess the physical strength to operate all emergency equipment and exits.
- Ability to operate doors and window exits manually or in emergency modes.
- Ability to push/pull/move a 100 lb galley cart.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 35 lbs frequently.
- Ability to lift a 35 lb luggage piece.
- Ability to reach into overhead compartments (height of 67" and a depth of 28").
- Ability to be properly secured in the cabin jumpseat without the use of seatbelt extensions.
- Ability to balance and reach across seats while serving passengers.

General direction is provided, with minimal instruction on day-to-day tasks.
