Purpose of Position
The Flight Instructor holds a crucial role in shaping the future of aviation safety and excellence. This individual is responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Flight Instructor's responsibilities encompass a dynamic range of tasks, including:
- Conducting comprehensive pilot ground and simulator training for clients engaged in core, specialty, or enrichment training courses.
- Developing and preparing engaging training materials that cater to diverse client needs and align with the applicable curriculum.
- Meticulously evaluating and measuring trainee progress, providing recommendations for qualification or additional training as needed.
- Completing accurate and detailed training records for each client, ensuring a personalized approach to training and successful achievement of their objectives.
- Proactively identifying potential client training issues and seeking timely assistance to ensure seamless training execution.
- Maintaining Instructor qualifications in strict accordance with regulatory requirements, reflecting a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Minimum Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum experience criteria:
- Full willingness and ability to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
- Possession of an unrestricted ATP certificate, or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.
- In the absence of an ATP, candidates must fulfill the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64, without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
- A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating is mandatory.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time is preferred.
