Flight Instructor, Senior
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, seeks a Flight Instructor, Senior to deliver exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. He/She will leverage expert aviation knowledge and facilitation skills to seamlessly meet client needs in accordance with aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients receiving core, specialty, or enrichment training courses.
- Develop and prepare training materials that support training delivery, aligning with applicable curriculum to meet client needs.
- Customize scenarios based on unique client needs during training delivery.
- Dynamically adjust instruction style and approach to deliver tailored training solutions.
- Evaluate and measure trainee progress, recommending qualification or additional training.
- Complete accurate training records specific to each client, aiding their success in achieving requested objectives.
- Assist in solving client training issues by providing constructive suggestions based on gained knowledge and experience.
- Monitor and maintain instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Set a positive example and make identifiable contributions to the organization and customer experience.
- Adhere to and promote FlightSafety Instructor Performance Standards.

- Knowledge of customer, regulatory, and company processes.
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction style to suit client learning style.
- Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert for courseware projects.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The role requires the ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell. Specific physical requirements include:
- Reaching, exerting pressure, and manipulating rudder controls and/or anti-torque with both feet.
- Reaching and manipulating numerous controls within the simulator device from the instructor’s chair.
- Entering and exiting from the simulator device via the provided ramp.
- Moving between the instructor station, screen, and podium while instructing in the classroom.
- Exiting from a malfunctioned simulator while the device is in a severely pitched attitude.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and may work in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions. He/She is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
