FlightSafety International - Flight Instructor

FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, seeks a highly skilled Flight Instructor to deliver exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. This role demands expertise in rotorcraft operations, as prior rotorcraft experience is mandatory. The successful candidate will adhere strictly to all aviation regulations and FlightSafety's established training principles.

Deliver comprehensive ground and simulator flight instruction.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Rotorcraft experience is required. An unrestricted ATP certificate, or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License is necessary. If an ATP is not held, the candidate must meet the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation. A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating is also required. Participation in FlightSafety’s DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program is mandatory.
Ability to manage classes and teach effectively.
First-level facilitation and customer service skills.
Ability to be coachable and receptive to feedback for professional development.
Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices and common aviation regulations.

Preferred:

Night Vision Goggle (NVG) experience.
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish).
FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience.
2,500 hours of total flight time.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position requires a wide range of physical motion, including reaching, exerting pressure, and manipulating controls within the simulator and classroom. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 10 pounds regularly is necessary. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions, and potentially hazardous elements such as fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, radiation, and vibration. Specific vision abilities are required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
