Competitive Compensation and Benefits:

The Flight Instructor role offers a salary range of $89,125.00 to $151,800.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Purpose of Position:

The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction to clients, adhering to all aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients participating in core, specialty, or enrichment training courses.
Develop and prepare engaging and effective training materials that meet client needs and comply with applicable curriculum standards.
Evaluate and measure trainee progress, recommending qualification or additional training as necessary.
Meticulously maintain accurate training records for each client, supporting their success in achieving their training objectives.
Proactively identify potential client training issues and seek assistance prior to course execution.
Maintain all required Instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Experience:

Must be eligible and willing to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Possession of an unrestricted ATP certificate, or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License is required.
Candidates without an ATP certificate must meet the requirements outlined in 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
A minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating is mandatory.
Experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training is highly preferred.
A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time is desirable.

Comprehensive understanding of common aviation regulations.
Proven ability to effectively manage classes and deliver engaging instruction.
Demonstrated first-level facilitation and customer service skills.
Receptive to coaching and feedback, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position requires the physical ability to operate simulator controls, including rudder pedals and anti-torque mechanisms. Instructors must be able to move comfortably within the simulator environment, including entering and exiting via a ramp. The role involves standing, walking, sitting, and potentially maneuvering within a simulator experiencing unusual attitudes. Excellent vision is essential, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus. Lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds may be required.

The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, and vibration is possible.
