Instructor Pilot

Flexjet, an award-winning leader in private aviation, is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to join the team at the CAE Training Center, located near DFW International Airport in Dallas, TX. This role is integral to providing the highest standard of premium private jet travel to Flexjet aircraft Owners through the delivery of exceptional pilot training and proficiency evaluations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide simulator flight training and classroom instruction across all required subjects.
  • Deliver initial and recurrent pilot training, covering Crew Resource Management, Flexjet Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklist philosophy, roles and responsibilities, and briefing/debriefing methods.
  • Assist in the development and certification of courseware and training materials, including simulator, FTD, and FMS training devices.
  • Ensure all training procedures align with actual operations and company SOPs.
  • Maintain currency on regulatory issues impacting Flexjet Flight Operations.
  • Inspect work and training outcomes to ensure compliance with quality requirements and company specifications.
  • Manage training documentation, including accurate records and timely submission of paperwork.
  • Support the company’s Safety Risk Management, Security, and Quality systems.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning while optimizing productivity.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Possession of an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a type rating in at least one company fleet aircraft.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Flexjet pilot is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory issues impacting training requirements, simulator-based flight training structures, instructional design technology, and the Flexjet Flight Operations Manual.
  • Working knowledge of Flexjet organizational structure and policies.

Required Skills

  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Capability to act as a company liaison with governmental officials, the FAA, the TSA, and other agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills for effective instruction and feedback delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately and impartially judge and evaluate pilot performance.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including CAMP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capacity to function effectively in a high-demand environment while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
