Adjunct Instructor – Political Science (POSC 4701: US Foreign Policy)

Employment Status: Part-Time

Marquette University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to join the Department of Political Science for the Fall 2026 term. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching POSC 4701: US Foreign Policy and contributing to the academic excellence of the undergraduate Political Science program.

Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver undergraduate coursework within the Political Science major.
Maintain full responsibility for the assigned course, including comprehensive syllabus preparation and curriculum development.
Perform all grading requirements for exams, research papers, and associated coursework.
Maintain a minimum of three office hours per week to support student academic success.
Contribute to the mission of Marquette University, a Jesuit, Catholic institution.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Master’s degree preferred, or substantial progress toward a terminal degree.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Earned Master’s degree.
Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
