EMB-120 / SA-227 Instructor Pilot

Ameriflight, LLC, the nation’s largest Part 135 cargo airline, is seeking a qualified, dual-rated EMB-120 / SA-227 Instructor to join the Flight Training Team. This role focuses on providing ground, simulator, and aircraft instruction across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be a seasoned aviation professional capable of operating within a dynamic, multi-base training environment.

Location: Dallas, TX (Requires significant travel).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ground school, simulator, and flight training for new hire pilots, transitioning pilots, and recurrent training for current crewmembers.
  • Facilitate virtual and online training sessions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and training standards.
  • Evaluate pilot performance, providing constructive feedback and necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the enhancement of training programs.
  • Maintain standardization across all training platforms and geographic locations.
  • Provide line coverage during peak operational periods or as required.

Requirements

  • ATP Certificate.
  • Flight Experience: 3,000 hours Total Time (TT), 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC), 500 hours Cross Country, 500 hours Multi-engine PIC, 500 hours Turbine PIC, 200 hours Instrument, and 100 hours Night.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively for domestic and international assignments.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Current passport with the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
  • Current First or Second Class Medical certificate.
  • English proficiency.
  • Must meet all airport badging requirements, including a successful TSA Security background check.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating EMB-120 and/or SA-227 aircraft.
  • Prior airline training experience in Part 121 or Part 135 environments.
  • Proven experience as a check airman, instructor pilot, or training captain.
  • Experience with simulator instruction environments.
  • Familiarity with advanced training technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Background in training program development or standardization.
