Position Summary
EJM is seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 7X aircraft based at Racine Batten International Airport (RAC) in Racine, Wisconsin. This is a dedicated three-pilot account, fully supported by an on-site Maintenance Technician. The operation encompasses both Part 91 and Part 135 flights, serving international and domestic destinations. This position is not designated as commutable, requiring the successful candidate to reside within driving distance of RAC airport.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC is required to adhere strictly to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for:
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifying crew assignments and trip details comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Completing all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leading comprehensive briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with internal personnel as needed. Serving as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
- Executing all aircraft pre-flight procedures, including confirming the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure mission capability. Documenting all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and managing all aircraft ground servicing requirements, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, ensuring completion according to SOPs.
- Conducting thorough passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulatory requirements. Delivering the highest standard of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs, including those for physically challenged individuals.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with crew members and support staff during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing superior service to aircraft owners and passengers while actively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Proactively investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience for owners and passengers. Successfully resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Upholding all required regulatory and company training requirements and maintaining recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
FAA First Class Medical Certificate
Required Experience
4-6 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Must possess an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Falcon 7X type rating is highly advantageous or required upon hire/training).
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements include:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
