The Opportunity: Gulfstream G280 PIC
EJM is actively seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a premium Gulfstream G280 aircraft, permanently based at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (KLAS). This is an attractive, low-demand flying opportunity, operating within a highly stable account that reports typically under 200 flight hours annually. This structure is designed to promote an ideal work-life balance for the crewmembers.
The G280 aircraft is supported by a dedicated operational team, including three professional pilots, a maintenance technician, and a cabin attendant, ensuring optimal support and continuity of service.
Note on Residency: This is a non-commutable position. Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate immediately to the greater Las Vegas, Nevada (89169) area.
Role Summary
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate authority and final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC must strictly adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while simultaneously delivering an exceptional service experience reflective of EJM’s commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Ensuring Safe and Compliant Flight Operations
- Ensures that all crewing and trip assignments strictly comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Leads the completion of detailed flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for every assignment.
- Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Complies rigorously with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates proactively with company personnel as required.
- Acts as the mandated Grounds Security Coordinator and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by established company policy.
- Completes all necessary aircraft pre-flight tasks, including a thorough verification of the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is fully mission capable.
- Records all aircraft discrepancies accurately and promptly in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures the accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items, including fueling, oil, and oxygen services, according to SOPs.
- Conducts comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and federal regulation.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience
- Provides high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers while continually identifying opportunities to enhance the overall EJM service experience.
- Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly and professionally.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent and premier service experience for all passengers.
- Resolves conflicts and challenges in an acceptable and diplomatic manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance
- Maintains full currency on all regulatory and company-required training, ensuring recent experience standards are met.
- Complies fully with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports all safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate designated channels.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements (KSAOs)
Candidates must possess prior experience within the corporate or business aviation sector.
Flight Time Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet Time: 500 hours
Additional Requirements
- Type Rating: Current Gulfstream G280 type rating is highly preferred.
- Location: Must reside in or commit to relocating to the Las Vegas, NV, area.
Compensation and Employee Support
Base Salary Range
EJM offers a highly competitive base salary range, commensurate with the candidate's experience and the size/type of aircraft flown:
- For Small, Mid, or Super-Mid Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $325,000 USD
- For Large, Heavy, or Premium Aircraft (including the G280): $160,000 - $425,000 USD
