Position Summary
Executive Jet Management is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for the specialized role of Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G280 aircraft. This prestigious account is permanently based at KLAS (Las Vegas, NV).
This is a well-established account supported by a three-pilot structure, a dedicated maintenance technician, and a cabin attendant. With annual flight hours typically under 200, this opportunity provides a steady yet low-demand flying schedule, ensuring an ideal balance between professional duties and personal time. Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area, as this is not a commutable position.
Role Accountability
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate and final responsibility for ensuring that the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and highly efficient manner. The PIC must rigorously adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional standard of service to all passengers.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for the overall execution of flight safety, compliance, and superior service delivery.
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight
- Verifies crewing and trip assignments to ensure full compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leads required crew briefings utilizing the established Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to actively mitigate operational risks.
- Complies strictly with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates proactively with company personnel as required.
- Acts as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with established company policy.
- Completes thorough pre-flight aircraft inspections, including verifying maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
- Records all aircraft discrepancies accurately and promptly in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures the accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items, including fueling, oil, and oxygen services, according to SOPs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with all crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience
- Provides exemplary quality service to owners and passengers, continually identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to provide a consistent and luxury service experience.
- Completes comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, ensuring the accommodation of any special needs (e.g., physically challenged passengers).
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and ensures full recency of experience.
- Complies with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports all safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience (KSAOs)
- Prior experience operating within corporate or business aviation environments is mandatory.
- Type rating on the Gulfstream G280 is highly preferred.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate permanently to the Las Vegas Area.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation and Professional Support
Base Salary Range
Executive Jet Management offers competitive compensation commensurate with aircraft size and experience:
- Small/Mid/Supermid Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $325,000
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin Aircraft: $160,000 - $425,000
