Position Overview
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is actively recruiting experienced pilots for a Challenger 300 position based in Opa-Locka, Florida. This account operates as a two-pilot operation, supported by an onsite dedicated Maintenance Technician, and is projected to fly approximately 300 hours annually under EJM's Part 135 certificate. EJM is seeking aviation professionals who excel in a highly organized and efficient operational environment. The Pilot in Command (PIC) bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC is committed to adhering to all company and regulatory mandates while consistently providing an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Verify that all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Execute comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight assignment.
- Employ the Threat, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate effectively with all relevant company personnel. Assume responsibilities as the Ground Security Coordinator and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conduct thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including an assessment of the aircraft's maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness. Document all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Oversee and ensure the proper accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing tasks, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in strict accordance with SOPs.
- Deliver clear and professional passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations. Provide the highest standard of customer service, addressing any special needs of passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during all phases of flight, including normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to elevate the EJM service experience. Investigate and resolve service deviations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience for all owners and passengers. Manage and resolve conflicts and challenges in an acceptable and professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Uphold all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience requirements.
- Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through the designated channels.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in corporate aviation is required.
- Prior experience operating under Part 135 regulations is essential.
- FAA Type rating in the CL300 is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Jet Time: 500 hours
