Position Summary

Jet Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain for a Challenger 300 aircraft in Dulles, Virginia. This role requires commanding the aircraft with precision, leadership, and discretion, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of state-of-the-art aircraft. The Captain will lead a professional crew, deliver exceptional experiences for discerning clientele, navigate domestic and global routes, and adapt to changing conditions while upholding the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism. As Pilot in Command, the Captain is entrusted with the ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of flights, ensuring every journey meets the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. What We're Looking For

Experienced pilots are sought to meet the demands of this role. Required qualifications include:

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical.
  • 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbojet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 Simulated Instrument hours.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles.
  • Willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.

What You'll Do

  • Take command of all assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure safety and compliance with federal, local, and company regulations.
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems to operate with precision, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions to guarantee a seamless travel experience.
  • Work closely with the Second in Command, imparting knowledge and skills to prepare them for future leadership roles.
  • Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs. Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign this duty. Actively support open communication on safety issues, report hazards, and uphold Jet Aviation's commitment to a secure environment. Record and report all aircraft discrepancies.
  • Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate trip paperwork according to company procedures.
  • Represent Jet Aviation, showcasing professionalism and dedication to the mission of delivering exceptional service.

What You'll Experience

  • Physical Requirements: Perform tasks requiring regular use of hands, standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting. Maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths.
  • Work Environment: Operate in a variety of environments, from heavy maintenance areas to upscale customer spaces. Experience dynamic aircraft operations, including occasional high noise levels, vibrations, and exposure to fuel fumes. Adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal temperature extremes in hangar settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $190,000 to $230,000. This range is not a guaranteed offer and the final salary will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
