Position Summary

Jet Aviation invites accomplished aviation professionals to take command of their careers at 40,000 feet as a Lead Captain for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Burbank, CA. The Lead Captain serves as the Pilot in Command (PIC), upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and quality on every flight. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Flight Operations: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, meticulously conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections, accurately filing flight plans, and thoroughly analyzing weather and route conditions to make informed decisions.
  • Crew Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide crew members to foster professional growth, conduct comprehensive performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training to maintain seamless and highly efficient operations.
  • Champion Safety & Compliance: Actively promote a robust safety culture by adhering to industry best practices, conducting thorough passenger briefings, and promptly addressing any aircraft discrepancies in close collaboration with maintenance teams.
  • Provide Administrative Excellence: Expertly manage all trip documentation, maintain up-to-date aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring processes, and represent Jet Aviation with the utmost professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
  • Represent the Brand: Serve as the distinguished face of Jet Aviation, consistently showcasing professionalism and unwavering dedication to the mission of delivering unparalleled aviation service and experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Expert Credentials: Possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate and a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Proven Aviation Experience: A minimum of 5 years of aviation experience, including 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time. This must include:
    • 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
    • 1,500 hours multi-engine time
    • 500 hours turbojet time
    • 500 hours turbine time
    • 100 hours night time
    • 75 hours simulated instrument time
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule to effectively meet diverse flight mission profiles.
  • Global Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • License Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting, is necessary. The incumbent must maintain sharp vision across various ranges and depths.

Compensation & Benefits

The likely annual salary range for this Lead Captain position is estimated between $220,000 - $250,000. This range is not a guarantee of specific compensation, as salary will be determined based on an individual's experience, geographic location, and other pertinent requirements.
