The Pilot is responsible for performing pilot duties in accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent instructions. He is responsible for ensuring the company’s goals for safety, security, and quality are met through continual compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program. The Pilot is also responsible for reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations through the appropriate process.
Post-flight responsibilities include securing the aircraft interior, encompassing the removal of debris from the cockpit area, disposal of ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the Pilot in Command (PIC).
